Kim Rush began her career at NW Natural in 1998 in numerous leadership roles covering communications, marketing and operations. In 2023, she was named senior vice president and chief operating officer in 2023. Then, on April 1, she began serving as president of the 166-year-old utility, which is headquartered in Portland and is the largest subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company. As president, Rush oversees NW Natural鈥檚 strategic, financial and operational responsibilities.

鈥淚 am so proud to have spent most of my career at NW Natural, where our team has a deep commitment to the communities we live in and where our core values really mean something,鈥� Rush said when her appointment was announced. 鈥淚鈥檓 particularly excited to lead the utility at a time when the work we do is more important than ever to reliably serve our customers and support the regional energy system.鈥�

Rush serves on the board of the Northwest Gas Association and is a member of the American Gas Association鈥檚 operations and sustainable growth committees.

Tracy Scott said her current role as director of energy programs for Energy Trust of Oregon is her greatest career accomplishment, allowing her to lead a team of dedicated and creative professionals who are passionate about clean energy.

鈥淢y focus is on creating the conditions for them to thrive, fostering a culture where people can bring their best selves to work, live our values, and deliver meaningful service to our customers,鈥� she said.

Scott believes her first responsibility as a leader is to create the conditions for others to thrive, including clarity of purpose, psychological safety and the freedom to innovate.

鈥淚 measure success not by my own achievements, but by the growth, confidence and impact of the people I lead. What drives me is seeing ideas turn into outcomes that make a real difference for our customers, communities and the planet,鈥� she said.

Scott co-chairs the Portland Clean Energy Fund Committee, and serves on the National Board of Directors for the League of Minority Voters and the Board of Directors for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency.

Jeff Waters was named board member and CEO of Powin, a global energy storage platform provider, in August 2023.

Waters previously served as CEO of Maxeon Solar Technologies, where he led the company鈥檚 spin-off from SunPower. At Maxeon, he led a substantial turnaround in profitability and revenue growth through a transformation of its global operations and the creation of new businesses, including expansion in the utility-scale market.

Prior to Maxeon and SunPower, Waters held other CEO and senior leadership positions in the electronic materials and semiconductor industries, with global experience in manufacturing, sales and marketing, and product development.
