Lindsi Hammond is GRI鈥檚 first female engineer promoted to principal and board member. She now has 17 years of industry experience, including co-founding and growing the firm鈥檚 Pavement Division.

Hammond contributed to the design of one of the nation鈥檚 first seismically resilient airport runways for the Port of Portland, demonstrating her expertise in specialized infrastructure projects. Her technical work combines pavement engineering with innovative approaches to critical transportation systems.

She serves on the American Society of Civil Engineers鈥 T&DI Airfield Pavement Committee and participates in the Transportation Research Board. Hammond is also involved with Stem Like a Girl, an organization promoting STEM education and careers.

Hammond explained that her leadership philosophy centers on trust and accountability, creating environments where people feel supported, valued, and empowered. She noted that holding teams to high standards brings out the best in both work and professional relationships.
