During her 37-year legal career, Coni Rathbone has represented about 150 Tenant In Common owner groups over 10 years, beginning with the 2008 real estate recession.聽She saved most of the properties for her senior citizen clients and for one group, and sold their three-building complex for about $4 million over the appraised value.聽

鈥淚 do good deals for good people.聽I have mentored many associated with intense work and training and kind feedback.聽I never yell, and no one is afraid to tell me about a mistake,鈥 she said.聽鈥淚 am driven to bring along other lawyers and to help my clients. I usually accomplish my clients鈥 needs by being nice and negotiating fairly.聽I get what I need about 95 percent of the time that way.鈥

Rathbone has been a CREW member, pro bono lawyer for Gales Creek Camp for Children with Diabetes, negotiations teacher at the Portland State University Center for Real Estate graduate programs, and a former Oregon Real Estate Commission advisory board member.
