BOMA looks at challenges ahead for Oregon Sustainability Center

A Building Owners and Managers Association meeting this week will focus on the Living Building Challenge and how it is impacting the feasibility study for the r.

The meeting will be held Wednesday at NW Natural, at 220 N.W. Second Ave. in Portland.

Two members of the design team, Kyle Andersen of GBD Architects and Lisa Peterson of SERA Architects, will discuss the goals of the , and the design challenges they are facing.

Gerding Edlen Development Co. is leading the project, which may incorporate a 鈥渓iving machine鈥 that treats storm water, and include photovoltaics and shading devices. The initial estimated cost of the center is $98.4 million.
