I printed my ticket nearly two weeks ago for the Rose Quarter Development Project’s .  The event will examine finalists’ concepts for what will become of Memorial Coliseum in the Rose Quarter. It looks like there are still seats available. You won’t be let in without a ticket, apparently.
I expected the tickets to sell out more quickly, to be honest. This project, more than many we cover at the 91ÊÓƵ, has been a hot topic in the community. That’s probably because of Sam Adams’ on what will be done to Memorial Coliseum. Submissions from a water park to an indoor cycling velodrome. I’m actually a fan of the by pdxcoaster. But as the 91ÊÓƵ wrote earlier this month, two concepts stand out:
: A recreation facility that would be incorporated into a broader Rose Quarter mixed-use development idea from the Portland Trail Blazers.
: AÂ community sports center concept by Portland developer Doug Obletz.
I’m looking forward to the presentations. If any of you see me there, feel free to say hey. I’ll probably send out a few tweets while I’m there, too, so you can .
