The ACE Academy has received a $10,000 grant from the PGE Foundation. The academy prepares high-school students for careers in the design and construction industries.

Technically named the Oregon Building Congress Academy for Architecture, Construction and Engineering, the academy is a charter school – a public school that contracts with a sponsoring school district.

The is unique in that it has four sponsors: the Parkrose, Gresham-Barlow, Reynolds and Centennial school districts.

The PGE Foundation has given money toward the academy’s Project Lead the Way engineering courses in the past. Intel also gave a $20,000 grant last fall to that program.
