Beaverton is again seeking consultants to create after the city’s first effort drew only one proposal.

“We like to make sure there’s competition in pricing and methodology,” said Don Mazziotti, the city’s community development director.

A group of consultants led by Jeff Tashman submitted the sole proposal. Tashman’s consulting firm, Tashman Johnson, wrote Beaverton’s urban renewal feasibility study.

The new bid deadline is 2 p.m. April 9.

On Monday, the City Council appointed three outside board members for the Beaverton Urban Redevelopment Agency. Jim McCreight, Jerry Jones and Doug Menke join the council members and mayor on the board, which will meet April 5.
