The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a contractor to replace the roof of the Pet French Round Barn in Southeast Oregon. Built in the 1800s, the barn is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Work on the structure involves repairing the roof frame and sheathing, repairing masonry and other minor site improvements.
Because of the building’s historic status, there are special qualification requirements attached to the bid. Bids are due at 1:30 p.m. April 22.
The project is estimated to cost $400,000 to $500,000. Completion is scheduled for January 2011.
