Lake Oswego High needs leaks repaired

The Lake Oswego School District is looking for a contractor to repair a leaky school building. Lake Oswego High School, built in 2005, has sprung several leaks.

Contractors must prequalify to bid on the project. The district requires prequalification for projects worth more than $1 million, but the cost of this project isn’t yet known.

The district is in the process of sending a letter to parents explaining the repairs, said spokeswoman Nancy Duin. According to the letter, the district has taken legal action against contractor Robinson Construction Co. over the original construction.

Work to address points of water entry, mold and other issues will take place during the summer. The project will be paid for with a school district full-faith and credit loan.

Prequalification applications are due April 26, and the project will go out for bids in May.
