next week is breaking ground on not one, but two apartment complexes in the Portland-metropolitan area.

On Sept. 22, the company, which is based in Vancouver, Wash., and develops and manages apartment complexes around the entire western United States, will break ground on two separate projects – one in Wilsonville and one in Hillsboro. The groundbreaking ceremonies will mark the fourth and fifth projects the company has started work on in 2011. It expects to start work on eight by the end of the year.

In Wilsonville the company will construct a 324-unit complex known as Brenchley Estates. Holland Partner Group is teaming up with on the project, which is meant to offer rental housing for the many high-tech and distribution businesses in Wilsonville, including Xerox, Mentor Graphics and Flir Systems, according to Holland Partner Group CEO and chairman Clyde Holland.

The other project is Living Green at Orenco Station, a 190-unit apartment complex in Hillsboro that Holland is building in partnership with . The project is located within 100 yards of a MAX light-rail station and a mile of Intel’s new D1X fabrication facility that is currently under construction.

Both projects will include recreation centers, clubhouses, swimming pools, sports fields and retail options. Site work for both projects started in early July and the company expects to deliver the first units in spring 2012. The projects are expected to be completed by the end of 2012.

In addition to these two projects, Holland has broken ground on two projects in Seattle and one in Los Angeles this year.
