2 appointed to Oregon construction licensing board

According to an announcement this week, Gov. John Kitzhaber appointed President Andrew Colas and Principal Attorney Melvin Oden-Orr to the to terms that will last through 2015.

The Construction Contractors Board licenses more than 38,000 contractors in Oregon. The new appointments will be two of the nine members on the board, which includes six contractors, two members of the public and one local elected official.

鈥淓ach member brings with them the skills and expertise necessary to help us continue our journey to become a model regulatory agency,鈥� said board administrator Craig P. Smith in a release.聽鈥淲e look forward to the efforts that will be made throughout the duration of their term.鈥�
