Fresh off the Multnomah Bar Association‘s wrap up of its annual fundraiser that helps CourtCare at the Multnomah County Courthouse with its operating expenses, another group has some grand designs in place for the program.

Led by Mary Rower at Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf, local architecture firm and general contractor , an effort is underway to renovate the space that CourtCare uses in the courthouse.

The effort is in its final push to drum up the last little bit of money that’s needed in order for construction to begin, and a local restaurant is stepping forward to help hit the goal.

For one day – May 25 – Trees Restaurant will donate 15 percent of the cost of all of its sales from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The restaurant also plans on donating a $5 per person cover charge for its May 31 trivia night (from 6 to 8 p.m.) to the renovation effort.

Trees Restaurant is located in the Pacwest Center in downtown Portland.
