Edwin Harnden, managing partner of Barran Liebman LLP, has been appointed by Gov. John Kitzhaber to serve on the Oregon Public Officials Compensation Commission. The appointment was unanimously confirmed by the Oregon Senate.
Harnden is a past president of the Oregon State Bar and has been named a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He is a past recipient of the Judge Learned Hand Lifetime Humanitarian Achievement Award. In 2011, he was the recipient of The Henry H. Hewitt Access to Justice Award handed out by The Lawyers’ Campaign for Justice and was named Legal Leader of the Year by the Daily Journal of Commerce.
Harden began a litigation practice in 1972 and since 1974 has focused on employment dispute resolution, arbitration and litigation.
