The Portland Development Commission plans to choose a development team to redevelop Centennial Mills by July, according to PDC spokesman Shawn Uhlman.
A PDC committee is now prepared to choose between two proposals to redevelop the property: one from the team of and , and one from Seattle-based . The abandoned flour mill at the north end of the Pearl District has been planned to be converted into different iterations of park land, market and commerce for the past five years.
The committee’s chosen proposal will be sent through the agency for approval. If successful, PDC Executive Director Patrick Quinton would recommend entering into an agreement with the winning development team at the agency’s July hearing.
鈥淭hat’s all subject to change, of course, but that is the course that we’re currently tracking on,鈥 Uhlman said.
