The Daily Journal of Commerce recently announced the finalists in the 2012 DMWESB TopProjects awards competition.

The awards recognize the role that disadvantaged, minority- and women-owned businesses, and small emerging businesses played in construction projects completed in Oregon and Southwest Washington during 2011.

This year’s finalist projects, along with the companies nominated for their work, are:

  • Columbia Helicopters Turbine Engine Test Facility (Shur Architects LLC)
  • Deep Creek Bridges Construction and Restoration (Cat Works LLC)
  • Oak Lodge Reclamation Facility Improvements (Pacificmark Construction Inc.)
  • OHSU Student Activities Center Bookstore Renovation (INLINE Commercial Construction Inc.)
  • PNW Corvallis Lab Co-location (O’Neill Electric)
  • Randall Children’s Hospital (Pacificmark Construction Inc.)
  • The Rockwood Building (Parrish Excavating Inc.)
  • Southwest Moody Site Infrastructure Group Projects (F.M. Burch and Associates)
  • Southwest Moody Special Sub Electrical (Affordable Electric)

Project winners, along with all project finalists, will be recognized during a dinner and awards ceremony on Oct. 25, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the grand ballroom of the Governor Hotel.

The awards ceremony will include presentations of the best DMWESB contractor and supplier as well as the best non-DMWESB mentor.
