91ÊÓƵ Staff//June 6, 2013//
Ninety-nine high school students in the Portland-metro area are learning firsthand what it’s like to work in a range of professions in the building industry as part of the 2013 ACE Mentor Program of Oregon.
Sixty-one volunteer mentors from the local building industry are working with students from 27 area high schools in after-school sessions. During the sessions, held in local firms’ offices, students are working in small groups with their mentors on real-life projects that teach them how buildings and spaces are designed, engineered and constructed.
Today, two students and one mentor share with the 91ÊÓƵ their program experiences.
