The owners of a Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard multifamily development that went up in flames this past summer are proposing to construct a six-story building on a different site, in Northwest Portland.
Phillip Chubb, an associate at FFA Architecture and Interiors, has applied for an early assistance meeting with the Bureau of Development Services to discuss plans for a multifamily project at 1951 N.W. Overton St. The property, which presently has a small warehouse, is owned by Overton Street LLC. According to the Secretary of State’s Corporation Division, the LLC is managed by Herbert, Ryan and Chad McKillop.
Herbert McKillop is also listed as the owner of Midway Offices LLC; it owns a property at the corner of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Monroe Street where the five-story Monroe Apartments project was under construction. In August, however, a five-alarm fire destroyed the development and damaged two nearby homes.
Chubb could not be reached immediately for comment.
