The Portland Development Commission is looking to reactivate three commercial properties in Lents by offering them up for sale or lease, but the deadline is nearing.

In November, the PDC issued a Request for Interest to advertise its intent to issue temporary or permanent development agreements for three of its vacant properties along Southeast Foster Road, between 87^th and 94^th avenues. The PDC hopes that making the properties available will help attract new commercial businesses, create jobs and generally spur economic activity along the emerging corridor.

The sites range in size from 6,259 square feet to 16,700 square feet. The PDC is offering one-time stipends of $7,500 to groups seeking temporary-use agreements, to help with design- and construction-related expenses. The full RFI document is available . Statements of interest are due by 5 p.m., Jan. 7.

Community members have offered their opinions about the types of development and businesses they would like to see developed or built at each site. Those ideas are available on the website 鈥溾��.
