Luxury athletic club almost fully built in Beaverton

SD Deacon is nearing completion of VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa, a 130,000-square-foot luxury athletic club/spa hybrid in Beaverton. The project includes five indoor and outdoor swimming pools, for which over a mile of subgrade water pipes have been installed to feed. Two recreational pools will feature 26-foot water slides, and the project also includes a full-service spa, a caf茅, and 12,000 square feet of kids鈥� space. High-end finishes are being used to give a resort-like feel to the building, which, according to SD Deacon superintendent Frank King, includes over 150 styles of ceramic tile. Work on the project began last September, and the club is expected to open by early August. Berkeley, CA-based ELS Architecture and Urban Design is the project鈥檚 designer.

The project is being built on a 7-acre site at the corner of Southwest Jenkins Road and Murray Boulevard, adjacent to the 45 Central condominium development and the Nike World Headquarters.
