The 30-story Park Avenue West mixed-use tower, being built in downtown Portland by Co., continues to rise. The building’s concrete core has reached 23 stories, while structural steel being erected around the core’s perimeter is quickly catching up. Steel on the buildings east side, which is supporting the project’s tower crane, has reached the 17th floor. Ironworkers with REFA Erection are installing beams, columns, and floor decking, while crews with Hoffman Structures, Inc., the general contractor’s concrete subsidiary, are pouring floors. The $131 million project, designed by for owner , is slated for completion in December 2015.
