A grand opening was held Thursday for Portland Police Bureau’s recently-completed $15 million training facility in Northeast Portland. The Bureau purchased the 61,320-square-foot warehouse building on Northeast Airport Way in 2012 for $6.4 million, and renovations began that December.
The complex features two firearms ranges, a scenario village for tactical training, outdoor vehicle operations training space, mat room for self-defense tactics training, multiple classrooms, and administrative offices. The project’s general contractor was 2KG Contractors, and Scott | Edwards Architecture designed the remodel.
