A preferred plan for the redevelopment of Centennial Mills in Northwest Portland was presented to the Portland Development Commission on Wednesday by Jordan Schnitzer, president of Harsch Investment Properties. Estimated to cost $115.8 million, the plan would create over 200,000 square feet of residential, office and retail space.
The property has sat vacant since 2001 and is rapidly deteriorating. Evidence of the buildings’ poor condition is apparent in rotting floors, standing water, listing beams and holes in the ceiling.
