Skanska USA Building is nearing completion of the Southeast Park Avenue Park & Ride in Oak Grove. The $13.1 million project contains 401 automobile parking spaces, 90 bike spaces, and 7 electric vehicle chargers for commuters using the future MAX orange line.

The GBD Architects-designed structure is open-air, eliminating the need for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Green roof elements combined with photovoltaic panels , which will power the building’s basic functions, will combine to help the building achieve net-zero energy usage. The project is slated for completion next month.
