A 40-unit Hillsboro apartment complex has sold to a McMinnville investor, according to a news release from Carson Halley with Sperry Van Ness 鈥� Imbrie Realty LLC.

West Main at the Park Apartments, located at 1025 West Main St., sold for $3.15 million five months after being listed.

Halley called the sale process 鈥渃omplex due to the assumption of existing financing,鈥� but said that both the unnamed seller and the buyer were satisfied with the price, which works out to $78,750 per unit.

鈥淲e marketed to investors and other brokers from day one, and that was how we found the right buyer for the complex,鈥� said Hugh Holtman of Sperry Van Ness 鈥� Imbrie Realty LLC. 鈥淭his type of cooperation in the brokerage community needs to happen more often to fully serve our clients.鈥�

CRH Northwest three years ago purchased the complex while it was in foreclosure and was able to bring it out of that process, Halley said.

During the marketing process, brokers from Sperry Van Ness 鈥� Imbrie Realty LLC emphasized the complex’s location near Intel and drew attention to the low vacancy rate in the area.

The buyer purchased the 5.66-acre property as a turnkey investment.

West Main at the Park was built in 1996 and features a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The complex is bordered by a cemetery and a golf course to the west and north and a single-family neighborhood to the east.
