UPDATED: Portland Design Commission undergoing change

Hennebery Eddy Architects principal on Jan. 15 became the new chairman of the .

Commissioners appointed Wark, previously the commission’s vice chairman, to replace , owner and founder of Portland-based marketing and planning firm Parachute Strategies. Also, Commissioner Ben Kaiser was appointed to replace Wark as the vice chairman. Kaiser is the owner and principal of Portland-based PATH Architecture.

Millius’ term ended in December, but she is continuing to serve on the commission because it’s already short one person.

The Portland Bureau of Development Services is seeking to fill a commission vacancy created when Jane Hansen left in September 2014. Candidates should have experience in design, engineering, financing or development of buildings. The commission must also include one representative from the Regional Arts and Culture Council.
