is nearing completion of a cultural center in Southwest Portland for the Scandinavian Heritage Foundation. The 9,883-square-foot structure will serve as a gathering place for the nonprofit organization.

drew from Nordic influences in designing the building, including simple lines, prominent use of wood, and walls of glass and skylights that allow natural light to fill the space. The building features a great hall, a café/coffee bar and commercial kitchen, an art gallery, multipurpose board room/chapel, and offices. The eight-month project is slated for completion in mid-April.
