SOAR Oregon has named John Stevens chief operations officer. He will execute the nonprofit鈥檚 operational strategy at unmanned aircraft test ranges at Pendleton, Warm Springs and Tillamook, with the Federal Aviation Administration, and with Oregon鈥檚 partner in UAS operations, the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. Stevens has 10 years of experience in oversight of civil aircraft systems and 30 years in complex program management. SOAR Oregon is a state-funded, not-for-profit economic development organization focused on the development of the UAS industry in Oregon.
