Restore Oregon is seeking nominations for its annual DeMuro Awards, which honor outstanding examples of preservation and adaptive reuse.

The nonprofit preservation advocacy organization is accepting nominations for the 2015 awards through Aug. 7. A nomination form can be downloaded at .

The awards, named for late preservationist and developer Art DeMuro, are presented to private or public Oregon projects completed within the past five years that involve the rehabilitation or redevelopment of a structure that is at least 50 years old. Residential and commercial projects, as well as compatible infill development in historic districts, will be considered.

A panel of judges including architecture and preservation professionals will evaluate the nominated projects for design quality, creativity, problem-solving, quality of craftsmanship and community impact.

Award recipients will be notified by Oct. 1, and the winners will be announced during Restore Oregon’s annual Restoration Celebration on Nov. 13 in Portland. Along with announcing the 2015 DeMuro Awards winners, the organization will release at the event the latest list of Oregon’s Most Endangered Places. The list notes historic properties in Oregon at most risk of being lost.

The keynote speaker for this year’s Restoration Celebration will be Max Williams, president and CEO of the Oregon Community Foundation.
