LMC Construction is nearing completion of project to expand a senior living community in the Bethany Village area of Northwest Portland for Central Bethany Development. The project will add three buildings and a combined 68 units of independent living, assisted living, and memory care space to Laurel Parc at Bethany Village.

One four-story building has a basement with a swimming pool, fitness and weight rooms, as well as space for massage therapy and salt therapy. The other two structures were built slab-on-grade, one reaching four stories and another at a single story.

Work on the project, designed by Bellevue, Wash.-based Paul Franks Architecture, began in April 2014 and will be completed by the end of September.

One of the three new buildings was tied in to an existing building without displacing residents.
