A new concept in housing development is coming to Beaverton.
Ground was broken recently on the $15.2 million development, which Bridge Meadows will own and operate. In adopting the 鈥渋t takes a village鈥 concept, the complex for 75 residents will feature a unique mix of families caring for foster children and older people living on lower incomes. The latter residents will receive rent reductions in return for serving as 鈥渁doptive鈥 grandparents for the families.
The Beaverton project, the second such development for Bridge Meadows in the Portland-metro area, was designed by Carleton Hart Architecture. Walsh Construction is serving as general contractor.
