The Daily Journal of Commerce is excited to launch our first Reader Rankings Awards, which will be announced later this summer. First, we are calling upon our readers to nominate their favorite firms, products and more within the building industries.

91ÊÓƵ staffers have put together a list of roughly 40 ‘best of’ categories ranging from the best general contractor to the best happy hour to close a business deal. Winners will be determined by you – our readers. Category areas include: firms, software, event/food/drink, equipment/supplies, service providers, and media/marketing/public relations. While not everyone can be a winner, we want to include everyone deserving of the honor, which is why we’re asking you to name some of your favorites.

Over the next month we have housed a survey at /reader-rankings-nominations/. There, you can nominate your firm, as well as the firms, products and places that you feel deserve to be honored. While we would love for you to submit as many nominations as possible, the survey is set up to allow you to submit as many, or as few, as you like.

Once the nomination period ends, we will put together a final survey asking everyone to vote on their favorites in each category. Votes will be limited to one vote per internet protocol address each day that the survey is open. So, when the time comes, feel free to pass the survey around as much as possible to make sure your firm or product wins.

In July, we will tally the votes and run a special section of our newspaper announcing all the winners, providing them the opportunity to brand themselves appropriately.
