Open house offers info about 2017 bridge project opportunities

With the Sellwood Bridge replacement project finished, Multnomah County is shifting its focus to three long-standing bridge projects in Portland.
Multnomah County officials will hold an open house Thursday to discuss upcoming work on the Broadway, Burnside and Morrison bridges. Traffic will be impacted in all cases.
The work includes replacing the four Rall wheels that open the Broadway Bridge, repairing and maintaining the Burnside Bridge, and replacing the lift span of the Morrison Bridge.
The county maintains five Willamette River crossings, including the Hawthorne Bridge.
The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Multnomah Building at 501 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.
