R&H Construction began operating in Portland in 1979, and has since added an office in Bend. With a focus on retail, office, multifamily, senior housing and hospitality, the firm performs a range of projects valued from $50,000 to $100 million. Its president is John Ward.

Currently, R&H is performing a two-part expansion for beverage distributor Maletis Beverage. A 24,000-square-foot office remodel includes steel and woodwork in the tap rooms, meeting spaces, lounges and brewhouses. Work is scheduled to conclude this month. An 18,300-square-foot warehouse built from the ground up will be 40 feet high with room for 3,000 kegs. The designer is Holst Architecture.

The builder finished constructing a space for Q Restaurant 鈥� the second coming of local culinary institution Veritable Quandary, which closed its doors in September 2016. The restaurant includes a 100-seat dining room, a seven-seat chef’s counter, a bar and a 2,500-square-foot kitchen. R&H added high-quality finishes, including coffered wood ceiling and custom window screens by Uncommon Cabinetry, backlit onyx tile and handmade stained-glass light fixtures. The project wrapped in November. The owner is Eightbridges LLC and the architect is Osmose Design.

R&H is performing a two-part expansion for Deschutes Brewery in Bend. The tank expansion piece involves connecting a two-story mechanical depot to six fermentation tanks outside. The structural steel frame was designed with a future six-tank expansion in mind. The other project piece is a 57,000-square-foot warehouse expansion 鈥� giving the brewer a space larger than a football field. The designer is Blaise Cacciola Architect. The project is valued at $8.8 million.

Another project being constructed by R&H is a four-story mixed-use building with 20,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, 103 apartments and one level of underground parking. The Union at St. Johns also features a community courtyard. The project is scheduled to finish by November. The owner is Farid Bolouri and the designer is Jones Architecture.

R&H crews are wrapping up construction of two buildings to house memory care and skilled nursing units for Cedar Sinai Park. Forty-eight units will be spread across four 鈥渉omes鈥� with common living spaces, kitchens and dining rooms. The project team is also working on a complete transformation of the Robison Health Center into a 44-bed post-acute rehabilitation center. The architect is LRS Architects. The project is valued at $24.6 million.

R&H has completed 30 projects for European sportswear giant Adidas in the past year. Their value ranges from $500 to $3.2 million. Currently, the builder is tackling four projects for Adidas. Three are:

• a 22,000-square-foot full gut and remodel of the Silver Building. The former Kaiser call center now has an open-office design, with a game room, a mother’s room and glass-walled conference rooms.
• transformation of 8,000 square feet of office space into a new Makers Lab product development area. Thirty pieces of production equipment have been installed.
• a full renovation of a five-story 鈥淢exico鈥� building. The project is in preconstruction and will entail a 鈥渟eating shuffle鈥� and an update of finishes to new campus standards. The designer is Interior Architects.
