Engineering firm opens Portland office

Eclipse Engineering has expanded into Portland.
The full-service structural engineering firm has been working in the Pacific Northwest since 1998. It first established an Oregon presence when it opened a branch office in Bend. The new Portland office is at 111 S.W. Columbia St., just blocks away from the waterfront.
The new office is being managed by John T. (鈥淛T鈥�) Mayer, who is a longtime member of the Pacific Northwest structural engineering community.
Mayer has spent the majority of his 20-year career as an associate for a large structural engineering firm, where he developed a portfolio of projects ranging from small houses to highly detailed temples. Prior to becoming an engineer, he spent 10 years as a framing foreman in Seattle.
Eclipse Engineering also has offices in Montana 鈥� in Missoula and Columbia Falls 鈥� and Spokane, Washington.
