The Daily Journal of Commerce has announced its 2017 Phenoms & Icons award honorees.

The Phenom awards honor outstanding professionals under age 40 who work in or with the building industry in Oregon or Southwest Washington. The Icon awards honor outstanding industry professionals over age 60 who have helped shape the building industry in Oregon or Southwest Washington.

The 21 winners, selected from nominations submitted by local companies and individuals, will be honored during a Dec. 14 awards celebration that will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sentinel Hotel, 614 S.W. 11th Ave., in Portland.
