Issued

  • A $753,500 alteration permit was issued for the removal and replacement of synthetic turf and installation of trench drains on an athletic field at Cleveland High School at 3111 S.E. Powell Blvd. The applicant is Brent Nielsen of Mackenzie, the contractor is Sprinturf LLC of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.
  • A $650,000 new construction permit was issued for a two-story, six-unit apartment building at 8300 S.E. Flavel St. The applicant is Bob of Bob Schatz , the owner is Parth LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $5,700,000 new construction permit was issued for a new four-story, 44-unit apartment building with a first-floor garage at 1415 S.E. Pardee St. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is PDG Construction Services Inc., and the owner is Yoshida Real Estate Holdings XVI LLC.
  • Two new construction permits totaling $1,157,423 were issued for two of three new buildings at 3455 S.E. Gladstone St. Both buildings will be two stories; one will contain seven units, and the other will contain eight. The structures are being erected on a lot with two existing two-unit buildings, which will remain in place. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Elliott Properties Inc., and the owner is GL-Gladstone34 LLC, which is registered to developer Mark Desbrow’s Green Light Investments LLC.
  • A $14,800,000 new construction permit was issued for the construction of a new six-story mixed-use building with five levels of office space over ground-floor retail and one level of underground parking at 555 S.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. The applicant is Scott Mannhard of Hacker Architects, the contractor is Andersen Construction Company, and the owner is Taylor & Metzker LLC.
  • A $5,450,000 new construction permit was issued for Guerrilla Development’s Tree Farm project, a new six-story commercial building with ground-floor retail and F2 occupancy on the upper floors at 826 S.E. Third Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Pro Teck Construction Inc., and the owner is Paula Steinmetz of Santa Barbara, California.

  • A $9,500,000 addition permit is under review for improvements to the 830 Building at Oregon Square, at 830 N.E. Holladay St. Scope of work includes a new roof deck with elevator and stair access, remodel of exterior glazing and canopy, and an interior remodel. The applicant is Russ Hale of GBD Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is AAT Lloyd District LLC.
  • A $6,800,000 alteration permit is under review for work related to the redevelopment of a TriMet administrative/operations facility at 9846 S.E. Powell Blvd. Scope of work includes site demolition, grading, utilites, and tree removal/mitigation. The applicant is Joseph Purkey of Convergence Architecture, and the owner is TriMet. No contractor is listed.
  • A $513,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for exterior cold-formed steel framing on BRIDGE Housing’s Riverplace Parcel 3 affordable housing project at 2045 S.W. River Parkway. The applicant is Matthew Brand of contractor Hoffman Construction Company, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A $5,200,000 new construction permit is under review for a new four-story mixed-use apartment building with 46 residential units, retail space and garage parking, at 6123 N. Lombard St. The applicant is Shawn Homberg of FFA Architecture and Interiors, the contractor is Seabold Construction Co., and the owner is North Lombard Land Partners LLC.
  • A $600,000 new construction permit on deferred submittal is under review for storefront systems on an apartment building under construction at 8220 S.E. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Nishant Vadlamudi, the contractor is Essex General Construction Inc., and the owner is Sellwood Bridge Apartments LLC.
  • A $500,000 new construction permit on deferred submittal is under review for a seismic anchorage package on the Broadway Tower building under construction at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Mike Zupan of contractor Howard S. Wright, and the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC.

  • A $2,500,000 alteration permit was issued for tenant improvements for Japanese retailer Muji at the Meier & Frank Building at 621 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Josh Brandt of Bora Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is EOSII/SB Portland LLC of Newport Beach, California. A $340,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is American Heating Inc.
  • A $700,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement at the Fred Meyer Hollywood store at 3030 N.E. Weidler St. The applicant is Melinda Vermeer of Baysinger Partners, the contractor is Western Construction Services Inc., and the owner is Nathan Benderson of Cincinnati, Ohio.

  • A $530,443 mechanical alteration permit was issued for mechanical TI work on all levels of Redd College’s Studio Arts Building at 3203 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. The applicant is Ben Wenner of contractor Total Mechanical, and the owner is The Reed Institute.

  • A $1,934,512 alteration permit is under review for a cancer research lab tenant improvement at 4805 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Joe Webb of owner Providence Health Services-Oregon, and the contractor is Fortis Construction. A $542,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the contractor is Heinz Mechanical Industries Inc.
  • A $4,600,000 alteration permit is under review for tenant improvements to the first four floors and basement of the Wells Fargo Center at 1300 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Brendan Post of SERA Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is SOF-XI WFP Owner LLC of Greenwich, Connecticut.
