Registration is now open for Oregon Tradeswomen Inc.‘s 2018 Diversity in the Construction Trades Summit. The event will take place Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the East County Family Services Center, at 11826 N.E. Glisan St.
OTI and presentation partner Constructing Hope aim to stress that construction projects are a critical component in providing increased economic opportunities to all members of the community. The goal is to ensure that workers of all classes have equitable chances to secure work on public projects as well as increase their skills and leadership. The hope, OTI Communications Director Mary Ann Naylor said, is for the summit to ultimately lead to creation of state-certified MWESB contractors.
