Another large industrial project is coming to east Multnomah County.

Construction on a proposed three-building development totaling more than 343,000 square feet could start soon on a vacant 22.94-acre parcel of land in Gresham on Northeast 170th Place, off of Sandy Boulevard. According to an April 2018 city staff report, the proposal calls for three warehouses, the largest of which would have around 201,280 square feet. The second and third buildings would have 97,040 and 45,500 square feet, respectively.

The owner of the property is Portland Portal Holdings LLC, a Renton, Washington-based corporation with a mailing address in Sacramento, California. The developer is Pyramid Development and Construction of Bellevue, Washington. It operates in Oregon under the name PDC Seattle LLC.

According to public records, applications for building permits for all three warehouses were submitted June 18, but have not yet been issued.

Earlier plans called for a single 298,000-square-foot warehouse, but that idea was scrapped in favor of three smaller buildings, according to a pre-application summary from December 2017.

Immediately to the east of the site, general contractor Sierra Construction is building a new 130,000-square-foot distribution center for Mary’s Harvest Fresh Foods. Ground was broken earlier this year, and work is expected to finish by the end of 2018.
