An eight-story for Portland’s Goose Hollow neighborhood would provide up to 178 market-rate apartments if plans meet city approval.
Designed by SERA Architects to fit a 0.49-acre parcel of land owned by the Downtown Development Group and currently leased by TriMet, the proposed building would feature ground-floor retail space, a leasing office and lobby, tenant amenities and a four-stacker mechanized parking system with 80 vehicle spaces. The building would stand nearly 85 feet high, and have approximately 170,000 square feet.
The proposal is set to go before the Portland Design Commission for a design review hearing on Sept. 27. An early assistance request was filed with the city in February.
Current plans call for a mix of two-bedroom, one-bedroom, one-bed loft and studio apartments. The project will be designed to meet Portland’s inclusionary zoning requirements, according to early design advice documentation submitted by SERA Architects.
The building program for levels 2 through 8 shows apartment units surrounding a north-facing courtyard. Additionally, a tenant amenity space and rooftop terrace would highlight the top floor.
Building materials would include cream-colored brick, Equitone and black vinyl windows.
