A ground-breaking ceremony was held last week to mark the start of construction on Beacon Lake Oswego 鈥� a four-story mixed-use commercial building in downtown Lake Oswego.

is the developer of the project, which is rising at the corner of Third Street and B Avenue. The building will feature a below-grade parking structure and three floors of retail space, high-end co-working offices and collaborative shared space.

According to developers, 10 Branch is now in 鈥渆arly discussions鈥� with potential tenants to occupy 10,000 square feet on the first floor. The second and third floors will hold 30,000 square feet of space to be operated by a top-tier co-working management company.

Finally, the top level will host Ironlight, a 10,000-square-foot event center with east-facing views of Mount Hood. An enclosed glass lobby will welcome guests on the west side. Indoor seating will accommodate up to 250 people, who will also be able to access two rooftop terraces.

The development is led by Lake Oswego resident Miles Haladay, a 10 Branch partner. The principal investors for the project are Jay and Renee Haladay. Jay Haladay, now retired, formerly served as CEO and board chairman of Viewpoint Construction Software.

Portland architecture and engineering firm Mackenzie designed the building, and Bremik Construction is serving as the general contractor. Beacon Lake Oswego is scheduled to open in early 2020.
