Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Excellence in Concrete awards competition. The Oregon Concrete & Aggregate Producers Association and the American Concrete Institute‘s Oregon chapter jointly sponsor the awards and accompanying banquet.

Event organizers for the past 39 years have recognized the top concrete and aggregate work in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Awards are given out to the top contractors, architects, engineers and suppliers. Categories include technical merit, craftsmanship, commercial buildings, public facilities, bridges, industrial, recreational, sustainable, tilt-up, parking structures, paving and many more.

鈥淎ny public or private project completed within the past two years is eligible,鈥� Diane Warner, chairwoman of this year’s event committee, stated in a press release. 鈥淧rojects may be submitted by any of the individuals or firms that worked on the project.鈥�

Photographs and a written narrative are required to nominate a project for an award; worksheet and submission forms are available online at . All submissions are due by Jan. 25, 2019. Finalists will be invited to attend the awards banquet on April 25, 2019 at the Salem Convention Center.
