The Gresham-Barlow School District and general contractor are seeking bids from subcontractors to perform a variety of work for the .

Deep Creek is located in and serves students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The upcoming project will include expansion of a K-5 building to accommodate middle school students.

Builders will add changing areas, four new general classrooms and a multi-purpose room for science; upgrade heating and cooling systems and the roof; perform other needed building repairs; install internally locking door hardware for all classrooms; modify the front entry and office to secure them; update furnishings and equipment for classrooms; install new low-voltage systems such as intercoms, fire alarms, cameras and emergency power; upgrade technology and wireless infrastructure in all classrooms; and add new playground equipment and surfacing.

The project team is seeking bids for: sitework, demolition, underground utilities, foundation concrete, rough framing, masonry, exterior metal siding, glass and glazing, doors and hardware, roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler.

Construction of phase one core and shell improvements is set to start Jan. 21, 2019 and finish by April 1, 2019. Roofing improvements will start in summer 2019.

This project is being paid for with money from a $291 million bond measure approved by voters in 2016.
