General contractor Pence Construction is seeking bids from subcontractors for work in Bend.
Denver-based Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture has designed an addition and remodel for the Bend Senior Center at 1600 S.E. Reed Market Road. The existing Bend Park & Recreation District facility is 14,100 square feet; a 35,600-square-foot addition will include a warm-water therapy pool, a general fitness area and several fitness classrooms. This new building will be known as the Larkspur Community Center.
An expansion will create a separate wing for the existing building and house a swimming pool as well as new locker rooms and areas for group exercise. A 9,800-square-foot second story will feature an indoor track.
Currently, bidding is open for final clean, unit masonry, finish carpentry (installation of millwork and accessories) and installation of doors, frames and hardware.
The project’s total budget is approximately $21.4 million. Construction is set to start this spring and finish by summer 2020.
Bids must be submitted before 2 p.m. on Jan. 10. They can be emailed to Sean Samples at [email protected] or faxed to 503-256-3684.
