Building permits issued for Jan. 28-Feb. 3

• A $513,281 addition permit was issued on deferred submittal for applied fireproofing on a terminal project at Portland International Airport, at 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Aaron Bordessa of Performance Contracting Inc., the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $650,000 alteration permit was issued for the relocation of a transformer vault on the Adidas campus at 5055 N. Greeley Ave. The applicant is Anne Karel of Interior Architects, the contractor is Bellevue, Washington-based PCL Construction Services, and the owner is Adidas Village Corporation.

• A $31,106,775 new construction permit is under inspection for the Argyle Apartments, a four-story, 151,555-square-foot apartment building at 2133 N. Argyle St. The development by Reach CDC will contain 189 affordable housing units and two community rooms. The applicant is Ian Flood of MWA Architects, the contractor is Walsh Construction Co., and the owner is TriMet.

• A $4,960,995 new construction permit was issued for a new five-story, 88-unit hostel with a ground-floor restaurant and coffee shop at 1616 E. • An $11,680,000 alteration permit is under review for improvements to an office building at 8000 N.E. Tillamook St. The former Banfield Pet Hospital headquarters will be the new home of the University of Western States. Scope of work is to include reconfiguration of first-floor treatment rooms and partial change of occupancy from A to M, second-floor reconfiguration to create executive offices and upgrade ADA restrooms, and saw-cutting new islands into the parking lot and associated site work. • A $1,815,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for a fourth-floor athletic facility at a Brewery Blocks building at 1125 N.W. Couch St. The applicant is Lindsey Newman of GBD Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is SPF Brewery Blocks LLC.

• A $560,000 grading permit was issued for a multimodal bike and pedestrian path from Southeast Umatilla Street near the Sellwood Bridge to Southeast 13th Avenue near Andover Street. Johnson St. The work is part of an effort by Home Forward to upgrade a number of its low-income apartment properties. The applicant is Kristin Solomon of Holst Architecture, the contractor is Walsh Construction Co., and the owner is Home Forward. A $314,440 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the contractor is Portland Mechanical Construction.

• A $500,000 alteration permit is under review for speculative improvements to several suites at an office building at 400 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Sopheap Hille of Seattle-based Burgess Design, the owner is Portland 400 Sixth LLC of Foster City, California, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $1,291,798 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for BPM Real Estate on the 17th floor of its Broadway Tower building at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Breanna Walters of GBD Architects, the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
