  • Design advice is sought for a 55,000-square-foot adult drug and alcohol treatment center at 830 S.E. 102nd Ave. The project scope could possibly expand by 10,000 square feet and include services for youth as well. The current proposal includes 70 beds in sleeping units for short-term treatment and 24 beds for detox treatment. The structure would also include dining and amenity spaces for residents, as well as administrative space. The applicant is Cory Hawbecker of Holst Architecture, and the owner is Portland Adventist Medical Center.
  • Early assistance is sought for a four-story multifamily building with 65 affordable housing units and approximately 18 covered parking spaces. The U-shaped building would also contain ground-floor common area and support spaces surrounding an interior court/garden. The applicant is David Horsley of Dao Architecture LLC, and the owner is LMC Inc.
  • Early assistance is sought for a Transportation Impact Review and Transportation Demand Management plan for Lewis & Clark College at 0615 S.W. Palatine Hill Road. The applicant is Michel George of Lewis & Clark College.
  • Early assistance is sought for a 20-unit building with affordable housing at 5275 N. Bowdoin St. The applicant is Frank Stock of WDC Properties, and the owner is William Serocki.
  • Early assistance is sought for a project to replace the Oregon Health & Science University Vehicle Storage and Garage building, at 810 S.W. Gaines St., with an 8,000-square-foot recycling center that would hold recycling activities, motor pool, machine shop and shared offices. The applicant is Anthony Moreschi of OHSU, and the owner is the state of Oregon.
  • Two early assistance applications were filed for Guerrilla Development’s Atomic Orchard Experiment project, at 2510 N.E. Sandy Blvd. The first is for the renovation of the existing warehouse, including demolition of an existing office portion, reconstruction of an exterior wall to enclose the warehouse, seismic upgrades, energy code upgrades, a roof replacement, and site and right-of-way upgrades. The project will include a change to type B occupancy. The applicant is Ken Riddle of Holst Architecture. The second application is for demolition of the building’s northern portion and construction of a new 49-unit multifamily building with affordable housing units and ground-floor retail space. The applicant is Shea Gilligan of Brett Schulz Architect. The owner listed on both applications is Some Knucklehead Inc., of which Guerrilla Development’s Kevin Cavenaugh is the president and secretary.
  • A Type II adjustment procedure is sought for the conversion of an existing Dairy Queen restaurant at 1610 S.E. Tolman St. to a bank. Adjustments are requested to setbacks and requirements for entry facing the street. The applicants are Kenneth Canavarro of Ankrom Moisan Architects’ Portland office and Terry Kim of the firm’s Seattle office, and the owner is Hyun Joo Lim.
  • A Type II conditional use procedure is sought to relocate a church preschool playground from a parcel at 1546 S.E. Lambert St. to a different area of the church property in order to sell the lot. The applicant is Chris Maas, and the owner is Immanuel Evang. Lutheran Church of Portland Oregon.
  • A Type II nonconforming status establishment procedure is sought for the determination of legal nonconforming status for an existing surface parking area at 904 S.E. Division St. The applicant is Wayne Pipes of owner NW Natural.
