Building permits issued for Feb. 11-17

• A $2,442,788 revision permit was issued to add a change of a door at a utility room to a code-compliant door with panic hardware at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4567 S.W. Nevada St. The applicant is Ross Smith, the contractor is TEAM Construction Group Inc., and the owner is St. John Fisher Catholic Church Portland Oregon.

• A $13,528,654 addition permit was issued for the renovation of the Data Processing Building, a five-story building at 350 S.W. Jefferson St. that serves as an accessory structure connected to the Wells Fargo Tower. The applicant is John Heinen of SERA Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is Sof-Xi WFP Owner LLC of Greenwich, Connecticut.

• A $7,980,000 alteration permit was issued for modifications to the existing P1 and P2 parking structures at Portland International Airport to accommodate future connections to the P3 parking structure and allow for temporary exiting of vehicles from short-term and long-term parking areas until the P3 garage is completed. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $5,588,544 new construction permit was issued for a new four-story, 91-unit apartment building with 19 parking spaces at 1717 S.E. Tenino St. The applicant is David Mullens of Urban Development Group, the contractor is SK Hoff Construction LLC, and the owner is UDG 17th & Tenino LLC.

• A $49,831,369 new construction permit is under inspection for Mill Creek Residential Trust’s Modera Glisan mixed-use project at 1430 N.W. Hoyt St. The 12-story building on a three-quarters-block site will have 291 units and 201 parking stalls in a three-level below-grade garage. The applicant is Brian Cobb of SERA Architects, the contractor is MCRT PNW Construction LLC, and the owner is Glisan Apartments LLC.

• A $14,361,974 new construction permit was issued for developer Kaiser Group Inc.’s The Canyons, a new six-story, 70-unit multifamily building constructed of cross-laminated timber at 3450 N. Williams Ave. The applicant is Emily Dawson of PATH Architecture, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is PDX Canyons LLC.

• A $689,189 new construction permit was issued for a new three-story, six-unit multifamily building at 3549 N. Gantenbein Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is VWR Development LLC, and the owner is Everett Custom Homes Inc. A separate permit valued at $692,636 was also issued for a three-story, six-unit building at 3563 N. Gantenbein Ave. The applicant, owner and contractor are the same.

• A $4,817,941 new construction permit was issued for a new single-story fueling and washing building at an existing bus facility at 9780 S.E. Powell Blvd. The applicant is Joseph Purkey of Convergence Architecture, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction, and the owner is TriMet.

• An $850,000 new construction permit was issued for a 1,200-square-foot single-story retail building with a small storage area at Providence Park, 1844 S.W. Morrison St. The applicant is John Weil of John Weil Architecture, the contractor is James E John Construction Co., and the owner is the city of Portland.

Building permit intakes for Feb. 11-17

• A $16,350,000 alteration permit is under review for the renovation of the Portland Marriott City Center hotel at 520 S.W. Broadway. The project will include replacing exterior canopy cladding, new interior stairs on the main level, reconfiguration of walls on levels one and two, a new third-floor restroom, replacement of doors on guest units, and conversion of existing suites to an additional seven units. The applicant is Kyle Emery of SERA Architects, the owner is Broadway & Washington Condominium Owners Association of Atlanta, Georgia, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $630,000 alteration permit is under review for the shell-only renovation of a single-story building at 1205 S.E. Grand Ave. The applicant is Brett Schulz of Brett Schulz Architect, the contractor is Veridis Construction Inc., and the owner is 1205 SE MLK LLC.

• A $7,800,000 new construction permit is under review for a new four-story self-storage facility at 11864 N.E. Halsey St. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is BSS Halsey LLC of Riverside, Missouri, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for Feb. 11-17

• Two alteration permits with a combined value of $1,600,000 were issued for installation of distributed antenna systems at Portland International Airport. The applicant is Michael Smith, the contractor is Communication Technology Services LLC of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

Facility permit intakes for Feb. 11-17

• A total of 13 alteration permits with a combined value of $2,600,565 are under review for improvements to the Tamarack Apartments at 4205-4257 N. Alaska St. The work will include replacement of siding and bedroom windows on 13 buildings. The applicant is Kevin Saxton of KASA Architects, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is Home Forward.

• A $900,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Galois on two floors of the Commonwealth Building at 421 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Matt Fitzgerald of GBD Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is KBSGI 421 SW 6th Avenue LLC of Santa Ana, California.

• A $1,500,000 alteration permit is under review for a deplaning level tenant improvement on Concourse C at Portland International Airport. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC of Parsippany, New Jersey, and the owner is the Port of Portland. A $300,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.
