Building permits issued for Feb. 18-24

• Two new construction permits, each valued at $1,882,084, were issued for separate four-story, 22-unit apartment buildings on Northeast Dekum Street. The first is for a building at 577 N.E. Dekum St. The owner is 533 NE Dekum LLC, which is registered to Lucia Shin of Wilsonville. The second is for a building on an adjacent lot at 505 N.E. Dekum St. The owner is 6800 N.E. Grand LLC, which is registered to Kristoffer McGill of Portland. The applicant for both permits is Brian Cavanaugh of Architecture Building Culture, and the contractor is Robertson & Olson.

• A $1,300,000 new construction permit is under inspection for a new three-story, nine-unit apartment building at 1270 N. Wygant St. The applicant is Edward Radulescu of EPR Design, the contractor is Crescent Custom Homes, and the owner is Silvia Investment LLC.

• A $1,900,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for exterior cladding on a parking garage under construction as part of the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center project at 1075 N.E. Second Ave. The applicant is Lucas Rose of General Sheet Metal, the contractor is MA Mortenson Company, and the owner is Prosper Portland.

Building permit intakes for Feb. 18-24

• A $1,266,152 addition permit is under review for an 8,120-square-foot addition to the NECA-IBEW Electrical Training Center at 16021 N.E. Airport Way. The addition at the building’s northeast corner would include new classrooms, restrooms, a lab with a mezzanine, and site work. The applicant is Robert Mosier of Robert Mosier Architect, the contractor is Schommer & Sons, and the owner is Timothy Gauthier.

• A $659,200 alteration permit is under review for improvements to an office building at 2045 S.E. Ankeny St., including a seismic upgrade and addition of new classroom space. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the contractor is Veridis Construction Inc., and the owner is 2044 Newco LLC.

• A $1,400,000 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, 18-unit apartment building at 6306 N. Maryland Ave. The applicant is Richard Adams of Faster Permits, and the owners are Knockout Investments LLC and YJS Management Co., both of Las Vegas. The contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for Feb. 18-24

• A $2,200,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Coinbase on the seventh floor of the Public Service Building at 920 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is Public Service Building LLC.

• A $4,168,000 alteration permit is under inspection for a tenant improvement for Markowitz Herbold on the 17th-19th floor of the Broadway Tower building at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Eliza Balen of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC. A $426,961 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the applicant is George Lekas of contractor Alliant Systems.

• A $1,291,798 alteration permit is under inspection for a tenant improvement for Milliman on the 16th floor of the Broadway Tower Building at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Breanna Walters of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC.

• A $5,400,000 alteration permit was issued for a deplaning and enplaning tenant improvement on concourses C and E of Portland International Airport. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Port of Portland. A $657,600 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the applicant and contractor are the same.

Facility permit intakes for Feb. 18-24

• A $2,500,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Kaiser Permanente at 3500 N. Interstate Ave. The applicant is Robbin Gray of Clark/Kjos Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest.

• A $543,900 mechanical alteration permit is under review for penthouse HVAC upgrades for a Daimler facility at 4747 N. Channel Ave. The applicant is Geoff Jenks of contractor Streimer Sheet Metal Works Inc., and the owner is Port of Portland (Leased Daimler Trucks NA LLC).

• Two addition permits with a combined value of $900,000 submitted on deferred submittal are under review for work on the Multnomah County Central Courthouse building at 1200 S.W. First Ave. One permit, valued at $150,000, is for automatic sliding door and folding doors in a sally port; the other, valued at $750,000, is for stone systems on the building’s exterior. The applicant is Jeff Gardner of contractor Hoffman Construction, and the owner is Multnomah County.
