Swinerton has officially launched Swinerton Mass Timber 鈥� a subsidiary dedicated to building mass-timber projects.

Swinerton Mass Timber is headquartered in Portland, and has a second office in Greenville, South Carolina.

鈥淪winerton Mass Timber represents our commitment to shaping the future of building,鈥� Swinerton CEO Jeff Hoopes stated in a press release. 鈥淯tilizing this technology, we know mass timber will help us build more quickly, more safely, and deliver the most cost-efficient structures in markets nationwide. If you look at our company’s rich history, Swinerton was one of the first builders to pioneer steel-reinforced concrete building, and I’m extremely proud that we are on the forefront of mass-timber building as well.鈥�

Swinerton’s mass-timber projects in Oregon include the First Tech Federal Credit Union headquarters in Hillsboro, the Washington County Event Center in Hillsboro and the Beaverton Public Safety Center. Elsewhere, the contractor has completed the Viega U.S. headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado; the Rena Ware headquarters in Kirkland, Washington, and three buildings for the University of California at Santa Cruz.
