Building permits issued for April 15-21

• A $603,557 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for metal panel attachments on Magnolia 2, an affordable housing project under construction at 415 N.E. Fargo St. The applicant is Dulce Weston of contractor Bremik Construction, and the owner is Innovative Housing Inc.

• A $700,000 new construction permit was issued for a new two-story, 12-unit apartment building at 5377 S.E. 18th Ave. The applicant is Steve Fosler of Fosler Portland Architecture, the contractor is BTS Homes Inc., and the owner is Alpina Properties LLC.

• Two new construction permits with a combined value of $1,651,994 were issued for two new three-story, six-unit apartment buildings at 7545 and 7575 N. Olin Ave. The applicant is Gunnar Langhus of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is Creekside Homes Inc., and the owner is Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East.

Building permit intakes for April 15-21

• A total of 10 alteration permits with a combined value of $1,375,670 are under review for replacement of wood windows with vinyl windows on 10 buildings at The Terraces condominiums at 614 N.W. Westover Terrace. The applicant is Joshua Opdahl, the contractor is Charter Construction, and the owner is the Association of Unit Owners of The Terraces Condominiums.

• A $6,213,864 alteration permit is under review for improvements to a multifamily building at 631 S.E. Taylor St., including a full seismic upgrade, accessibility upgrades and interior remodeling. The applicant is Kathy Johnson of Jones Architecture, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is Reach Rose LLC.

• A $1,200,000 new construction permit is under review for a three-story, four-unit apartment building at 6705 S.E. 14th Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Portland Leeds Living LLC, and the owner is Portland Memorial Inc.

• A $1,045,404 new construction permit is under review for a new four-story, 18-unit apartment building at 3723 S.W. Hood Ave. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the owner is Modern PDX Properties LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $500,000 new construction permit on deferred submittal is under review for post-tensioned concrete on the 12-story Moxy Hotel under construction at 585 S.W. 10th Ave. The applicant is Mike Zupan of Howard S. Wright, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is L-63 LLC.

• New construction permits are under review for various fuel tank-related improvements to five city-owned properties, including: a $1,492,000 permit to replace underground tanks, fuel dispensers, and piping infrastructure in a parking garage at 1221 S.W. First Ave.; a $782,000 permit to replace fuel station equipment at a facility at 4747 E. Burnside St.; a $1,467,000 permit for new underground fuel tanks and a new canopy at a Portland Water Bureau facility at 1900 N. Interstate Ave.; an $835,780 permit for a new foundation and anchorage for four above-ground fuel tanks; and a $450,035 permit for a fuel canopy and associated site work at the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant at 5003 N. Columbia Blvd. The applicant is Jana Gerow of the city of Portland.

• A $950,000 alteration permit was issued for a speculative third-floor tenant improvement in a suite at the Meier & Frank Building at 621 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Timothy Bestor of SERA Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is EOSII/SB Portland LLC of Newport Beach, California.

• Three addition permits with a combined value of $750,000 were issued on deferred submittal for work on the Multnomah County Central Courthouse project, including interior lobby stone veneer and anchors, seismic bracing of HVAC duct risers, and electrical seismic bracing on Level 16. The applicant is Jeff Gardner of contractor Hoffman Construction Co., and the owner is Multnomah County.

• A $1,500,025 alteration permit on deferred submittal is under review for specialty ceilings in the ballroom of the Oregon Convention Center, which is undergoing a $39 million renovation. The applicant is Alexandra Young of contractor Colas Construction, and the owner is Metro.
