Portland’s Bureau of Development Services announced Monday its intention to fill a vacancy on the Historic Landmarks Commission. A volunteer is needed to take on a 鈥減ublic-at-large鈥 spot.
The Historic Landmarks Commission hears proposals for large infill projects and new developments, as well as alterations to existing landmarks and structures in historic and conservation districts. The commission meets two Mondays each month.
Members of the Historic Landmarks Commission serve four-year terms, which can be renewed. There are seven commissioners, none of whom can concurrently hold positions of elected office.
